About

Jenna Nye

I am Jenna Nye, a Somatic Trauma Resolution Specialist, Havening Techniques® Trainer and Founder of Jenesis Training Academy.

My work focuses on what happens when insight explains a pattern, regulation helps manage it, but the nervous system still continues to hold the activation underneath.

I work with people who may understand themselves deeply and know why they react the way they do, yet still experience physical pain, triggered beliefs or automatic responses that seem to happen before conscious choice can intervene.

My approach looks at how activation can be held across three interconnected systems: the somatic body, psychological meaning and biological brain. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms or coping with reactions, I am interested in what becomes possible when these systems are brought into greater unity and the underlying activation can begin to resolve.

Agency is central to the way I work. The person is not something to be fixed or treated as passive in the process. They remain fully involved in recognising what is happening within their own system and in the work of creating change.

My work is particularly relevant when understanding has taken someone as far as it can, when regulation has become something they continually have to manage, or when physical approaches such as physiotherapy have reached a plateau.

I help people explore what may be happening underneath those persistent reactions and experience the difference between understanding, managing and resolving.

When Physical Pain Isn't Physical: Unifying the nervous system to resolve, not cope

Day 2

10th Sept 2026
Who is this talk for?

People who understand themselves well but still react automatically. It is for those whose nervous system continues to run old activations, whether these appear as physical pain, triggered beliefs or automatic responses, and for people who find regulation useful but are now looking for resolution.

What the talk covers

The session explores how physical pain, triggered beliefs and automatic reactions can live encoded across three systems: somatic (body), psychological (meaning) and biological (brain). Jenna examines why bringing these systems into unity is central to resolution, particularly when physiotherapy plateaus, understanding stops changing the reaction or management becomes the permanent state.

Why it matters

Insight can explain why a person reacts and regulation can help manage the reaction, but neither necessarily means the underlying activation has resolved. The session offers a way to recognise where activation lives and what may be required when coping and management are no longer enough.

Jenna’s Unique Angle

Jenna’s work is explicitly resolution-focused rather than coping-focused. As a Somatic Trauma Resolution Specialist and Havening Techniques® Trainer, she frames activation through the interaction of body, meaning and brain, while emphasising that the participant remains in full agency throughout the process.
